What's Going On Anyway?

You appear to be noticing some changes, not so fun changes. It's time to pay attention to your body.  It's not too late to feel balanced and well again!
 
If you are feeling  a few things that are off, It’s most likely pre-menopause syndrome, which is not a natural or inevitable part of life but one that’s created by our lifestyle and our environment. Pre-menopause is something that most women know about but very few people have a name for it. Did you know that about 50 million women are going through pre-menopause right now and experience some form of this? And did you know there is a bunch of symptoms that can happen 10 to even 20 years before actual menopause?

Pre-menopause is the result of hormone imbalance, usually caused by an excess of the hormone estrogen and a deficiency of the hormone progesterone but we will get into that another time. What I really want to talk about is that pre-menopause symptoms are not just about bio-chemistry it's also about us being a little out of touch with our cycles and rhythms of our own bodies and our feelings. Basically we take care of everyone else and we forget to take care of ourselves.
I know it’s hard to talk about because many women don’t want to think about it because it means that we’re getting older. However, we need to switch our mindset. Why not make this the best time of our lives! 

Make it a Good Time

Ponder this...Pre-menopause is kind of like puberty, let’s think about this for a second before puberty we had the freedom of living without hormone cycles and a pretty steady physical and emotional balance. During puberty we had to ride the ups and downs of our body getting used to the surges of different sex hormones and menstrual cycles and all the growth that happens. Then if we are lucky we get some great energy in our 20's and even into our 30's and then we start to reach a point where our hormones reach their maximum best.  Bummer...Sometime between our mid 30s and mid 40s our vibrant cycle become a little more influenced by outside factors in our lifestyle choices then we start to notice some serious changes again. It’s like we are back in puberty, Yuck!  However we can change it!  We just need the right knowledge and the right plan. Just imagine... a balanced pre-menopausal woman is confident, she knows herself and has enough experience to be moving around in the world with self-assurance, a wonderful level of confidence and she knows her own body. 

Balance is Key

One of the big keys to a healthy premenopausal cycle is to make it a wonderful time to move around in our life and become more emotionally and spiritually powerful! So, if you take care of yourself now you’re aging process will happen later in life and will be more gradual and less debilitating.  If you do your best to maintain your physical, mental and emotional balance through this cycle of your life aging will be more graceful and less painful. So do you notice that BALANCE is the key concept here!  
I think the hardest part of this phase is that formal testing can sometimes be useless because we are changing so quickly. So it is so important that we stay in tune with her own bodies and how we feel and figure out how to live with balance!
